Air Canada Wet Leasing Omni Air 767 (Summer 2024)

Saw this on YouTube. Not good for YYZ-SFO flights this summer.

I disagree. I think this is great. It's the Omni 763 with layflats up front. It's not Signature Service, but it beats the crap out of the narrowbody service AC normally sends to SFO. More and better seats (it's basically United's pre-Polaris seat. Economy is 2-3-2 with a 31-32-inch pitch, which is also at least as good if not better than mainline.

"Air Canada, on behalf of itself and Omni, has applied to the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) for an approval to permit Air Canada to provide its scheduled international service between Canada and the United States of America using one aircraft with flight crew provided by Omni, beginning on June 15, 2024, to July 13, 2024."

This looks like a month of coverage for a single aircraft in scheduled maintenance, rather than a change in route strategy.

We’ve got at least a couple of threads around here with photos and other info about this aircraft. It seems to show up most summers now.

Has anyone flown Omni via Air Canada in their new "Omni Class" (2021)?

Found and booked a good deal for business from YYZ-SFO on a flight operated by Omni Air (wet leased by AC) in a 767. I've found some old videos showing their previous business cabin, but couldn't find anything about their new business class, called "Omni Class" which was announced in 2021. Looking at the seat map, I am in one of the new planes (2-1-2 configuration).

I can't add links because I don't have enough posts, but One Mile At A Time has a good post about this with photos.

Anyone have experience with this product?

Search up some old United 767 business class (Pre-Polaris) reviews, they should be pretty similar.
